I think this was a great realistic book. It had a lot of action and bravery so I wanted to read chapter after chapter. The only reason I didn't like this book is because it was modern and no magic. I think this book is a trouble-making journey.
This book deserves five stars. It had action, adventure, and mystery every step of the way. This book was a combination of fantasy and realistic fiction which can entertain readers who like either genre. This book also contained a lot of settings and moving from place to place which is more entertaining than staying in one or two places.
I found this book scary for kids in elementary age. It is more of a junior high and high school book. Those who like horror books will enjoy this book.
A lot of the characters in this book have special "powers" which are unique and different. Miss Peregrine rescues those kids who are unique and raise them in her Home for Peculiar Children. The author really got creative with all the "powers" that the children have
I think this book was unique. It had a lot of fiction and my favorite books are books that have fiction. But this book had too much fiction like magic spells another dimension, and trolls. I liked that Sophie didn't know she was part elf. Then Dex came and took her to another dimension. In the other dimension she went to school and made friends. I recommend this book to kids who like fiction.
