This is a fantastic summer book read. Let me introduce you to the Penderwick family. First there's Mr. Penderwick, Rosalind, the oldest and keeper of the younger girls; Jane, Skye, the most adventurous; Batty the smallest and Hound.So for the summer they all go to stay at the guest cottage on the estate Arundel, which is nothing like they expect. So they become good friends with Mrs. Tifton's, who owns Arundel,son Jeffery. But Jeffery has a problem, he whats to be a musician but his mother whats him to be a army man like his grandfather. But a least he has a year till he go's away , that is until Mrs. Tifton's boy friend whats to send hem away early , the end of the summer in fact. How can the Penderwick girls ( and Hound ) possibly save him in time?

OK if you like The Princes Diaries, your gonna love this book. The main character, Nikki has moved to a new middle school and Nothing is going smoothly. The most poplar girl( most mean girl is more like it ) hates her guts for no reason in particular it seems. And then there's this boy named Brandon ( with the best hair ), maybe he likes her. If Nikki can just win the art contest at school, she thinks all her problems will be solved. But then she has so many problems just with that. Now I won't tell you everything, you'll just have to read it your self.

I love this book. Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny Alden are all alone with no parents, and are sent to stay with there 'supposedly' awful uncle. So to avoid staying with there uncle they go and live in a Boxcar. Henry gets a job to pay for there food and they got there stuff from the near by dump. ( This book was written at a time were there weren't a lot of dangers things in dumps). But in the end they meat the uncle and he's really nice, and they move in with him.
