Fun and adorable book about sibling rivalry and importance of family. The writing is simple and great for younger audiences with simple illustrations on every page. The book follows the main character Sunny who is a pug and her new little sister sunny who tends to always get in the way. Being the problem that she is for Sunny, Rosy manages to lose her elder sister favorite toy and sets off to find it. Now Sunny must find both her favorite bunny toy and sister, just great. On this fun adventure the sisters learn to bond on their differences and solve the problem. This book is very cute and has a great message and certainly deserves a squeal!

Twelve year old Emily and her family are on the move again. Thanks to her parents upcoming book and goal of living in all fifty states, they're going to Sans Francisco this time. Even though Emily doesn't like the idea of always being on the move and never settling down, she's actually excited this time. She is going to the home of Garrison Griswold, the founder of her favorite book " Scavenger Games". She also finds out that her new neighbor James is also a big fan of puzzles, they soon become good friends as he shows her around and introduces her to the life of Sans Francisco . Sometime before the release of his new book Griswold is attacked in the subway. Emily finds the book that Griswold lost while the attack happened. She uncovers a not yet relased game and is now determined to figure the mystery out. With the help of James, her older brother Matt and teacher, Emily must solve all the puzzle before the author's peril catches onto her. This books had great description, intriguing characters and a wonderful mystery. Great for anyone who loves to read especially mystery lovers.

The Quest of the Cubs follows two cubs on a quest of survival. The conflict of the story are the Roguers, a cruel cult of bears who ended the long peaceful rule of the polar bears. They take young cubs to kill and sacrifice. When the Roguers approaches the first and second cubs, their mother decides to go instead. Now the cubs most go live under a caretaker however she isn't a very good one and this causes for the cubs to run away and began the quest to save their mother. Along the way they encounter friends and enemies and learn to work together and learn acceptance. The idea of this book was interesting but the pace could be slow at times and just uninteresting. Not enough happened in the book for the cliff hanger ending and I expected way more action.

Journey on a Runaway Train is a fresh and fun start to the new boxcar children series. In this book the kids get chosen by a secret society to travel the world and return lost artifacts to their original home. This is first book and the series so there is a good build up that pulls you in. The recurring charterers are interesting and having the boxcar kids in a modern world with technology is a fresh take and makes the book more relatable. This book is great for young readers because advanced subjects are explained. Only negative is that the book could be predictable at times.
