The books has a lot of characters with intriguing qualities. Some readers may need to take notes about the character's names and roles. There are opportunities to explore related topics such as the geography of England, Nuclear energy, Pandora's Box, the legend of Merlin. Enjoy and read carefully as the book is laying groundwork for a series.

Good easy reading. Each of the main characters come from fractured families. Each deal differently with having a parent leave their household. There are opportunities to learn more about Jewish culture and how to survive middle school.

A touching story of loss and the love road to recovery. You feel for Aubrey and how difficult loss is at any age.

The book was very fast to read. I don't usually like poetry, but this provided a narrative. You will understand the book better if you learn a bit about the Viet Nam War War before reading the book. Lai is able to evoke feelings throughout the book that everyone can relate to. If you have ever been bullied or treated people differently because they are not like you, you'll understand the theme of acceptance in the book.

The book was informative and made me think about trying to work with multiple disabilities. I prefer memoirs to the style that was presented here. Everyone who reads the book will gain a better understanding of capabilities of people with physical disabilities. Chuck Close has lead an amazing life. He sees people differently than most due to his prosopagnosia, or facial blindness. He pushes us to stop and enjoy art through his huge art pieces.

This book is great. Don't be fooled by this graphic novel. There is a story based on the author's real life that is told throughout the book. There is also some tough vocabulary that is related to dentistry. Relax and enjoy this story, you'll learn a few lessons along the way.
