Mary Downing Hahn has done it again! I can't believe all the elements of mysteries and horror stories she managed to put in her book, "Deep and Dark and Dangerous". Trust me, it is not something that will give you nightmares but it is not your average ghost story. It was really an amazing story.

It was an amazingly written book with many mysteries. Davies did a wonderful job writing yet again another adventure Jessie and Evan indulge in. It may be an easy read for some readers, but still a great one. I recommend this book for grades 3-5

In this book there is mystery and adventure around every corner. It was not the genre I was expecting it to be, but it was very good. I recommend this book to anyone who likes an element of surprise.

This book is the bloody, true story of Hansel and Gretel. I would have never picked this book up if my friend hadn't have recommended it to me. It was a great story with a very funny narrator in it. I recommend this book and it's companion, In a Glass Grimmly.

It is a good book for anyone who loves bloody fairy tales that make your skin crawl. It was excellently written by Adam Gidwitz, one of my favorite authors. He illustrates that fairy tales aren't all gumdrops and sunshine, but that there is struggle, too. A great book.
