I began to read this book because I had read all of the other John Green books, and had heard that this one was amazing. In my opinion, it was not. It seemed as though all of the action happened in the first two chapters. The movie trailers made it look all exciting, but it wasn't really all that exciting. I think part of the reason why I couldn't connect with the book was because I couldn't manage to connect with the character. I couldn't understand why Quentin would go look for Margo just after one magical night that happened after years of ignoring him. To be perfectly honest, I couldn't handle reading this book and never finished it. I would still recommend this book to people because I seem to have an unpopular opinion, and I have expressed my reasoning to multiple people and they seem to have a direct opposite opinion. So, if you have read other John Green books and feel as though you may enjoy Looking for Alaska, I'm certainly not trying to stop you.
