The Book Thief is a story that I will carry forever. It is written from the point of view of Death about a young girl growing up in Nazi Germany. I appreciated this fresh POV because I've only ever read stories about this time period through the view of Jewish people. It helped expand my knowledge of this time period, all while tearing my heart to pieces with an emotional and powerful story where you will undoubtedly connect deeply with the characters.

In the beginning, I found it quite boring, but I never quit on books and lucky for me, I didn't stop because this was a real adventure. Twelve-year-old Andora ‘Andi’ Boggs and her new best friend Colin Carter couldn’t be more excited to attend the prestigious science camp at the local university in Killdeer, Ohio. Unfortunately, Discovery Camp’s curriculum appears to include much more than just chemistry and biology. From day one, the university is plagued by a series of pranks—missing markers, loose crickets, and stolen scales. Campus security blames the mysterious janitor Polk, but even though Andi agrees he’s acting suspicious, she can’t believe the gentle old man would do anything illegal. Then one prank goes too far and their chemistry professor is injured by an explosion in the lab, upping the stakes of the investigation. Andi and Colin must unravel the secrets behind the chemistry department and figure out the culprit.

I LOVE Nancy Drew Diaries! They're so interesting. It's not one of those straight-forward mysteries, I mean no one loves the ones that you know from like the first twenty pages who is the culprit (unless you're a great mystery solver). These books have you thinking you know who the culprit is, but then they throw you another clue and you realize you were wrong at the end. When I finish these books, they always have me going "Oh....so-and-so was actually the real culprit!" I'm hoping that my mom might get this book for me soon!

This book is quite a nice one. The main character, Betsy, has a lot in mind. Her cousin, Kate, is in serious debt being that the Great Depression is still raging on in the mist of America. Then her mom seems to be losing trust in her. To add onto the burden, her aunt is coming over and that's when mishaps start coming in. Is everyone who they truly seem to be?

This book was super great. Mississippi Beaumont is a girl with her problems to deal with like everyone in the world has their own set of conflicts they have to figure out. The problems Mississippi (a.k.a Mibs) has to figure out are tougher. She's turning thirteen-the age of which all the Beaumont children receive their savvy-their special ability. But that birthday wasn't like your typical thing you would think of because you'd think that all Beaumont's thirteenth birthdays were cursed with all the mess-ups from the past of Mibs's older siblings. Before he birthday, a heavy burden falls on her when her family is called to report her father was involved in a truck accident and was still unconscious in the Salina Hospital. That's when her mom and her oldest brother, Rocket with a savvy of electricity, take off to Salina leaving behind a family friend to watch over the remaining children including Mibs. On the day of her birthday, Mibs just by coincidence wakes up her younger sister, Gyspy, and her brother's hibernating turtle. This all misleads Mibs thinking that her savvy was waking other people/animals wake up. The thirteen year-old gets an idea of using her savvy to save her father which just throws her and a bunch of others into a tangle of problems and adventures. But an adventure is an adventure. An adventure has its share of difficulties and surprises with their secrets. As the book continues on, slowly Mibs starts realizing that her savvy wasn't what she really thought of it to be. It wasn't something that was going to save her father, but it was going to save someone else that was just as important. She starts figuring out that her true savvy is whenever someone has ink on their skin, she can read their minds. This discovery was not a good thing. So Mibs, couldn't wake her father up with her savvy, but she helped other people with their problems. She helps someone realize that they're not cooped up like a kid anymore and that they're free to do what they want to do. She helps her own brother find his color of paint to control and tone down his wild savvy of hurricanes. I won't tell you what happens with her and her fellow travelers, Bobbi and Will Junior (Miss. Rosemary's children-or are they?), her second oldest brother fish, and her younger brother Samson. I won't tell who they meet along the way. I don't want you to read this summary and think you know all about the story. I want you to wonder what's going to happen. I want you to find the book and open up the book and read. Because a thrilling story awaits you waiting to be read, waiting to share the magic of mysteries and secrets, and to tell you that everyone has a talent to show the world that will help others, especially you.

I think this is a very unique idea. I wish I lived in Oakland of Berkerly so I could test it for myself: Do ugly fruits taste as good as beautiful ones? Also, I think that a good catchphrase would be "Don't judge a fruit by it's cover" or something along those lines.
