This is the third book to the 39 Clues: Cahills vs Vespers series. This is one of the best books I have ever read. Eoin Colfer, like me, is an Irishman. He has a fresh mind that makes fairytale more than damsels being rescued by handsome princes. Artemis Fowl is a twelve-year-old Irish boy, yet the greatest, most brilliant criminal mastermind in the world. With the help of his bodygaurd/manservent, Butler, and Butler's younger teenage sister, Juliet, Artemis captures an elf of the Lower Elements, Holly Short of the LEPrecon unit. Artemis throws her in a cell of solid rock where she is held ransom for "fairy" gold. But does Artemis really know what he's dealing with? Artemis thinks that he's one step ahead in the game, but then these fairies stop playing by their own rules.
