Fast forward to present day, where four best friends are gathered, all four filled with excitement and sadness for their summer adventures. This book takes place before A New Hope begins. Princess Leia of Alderaan, more known as Leia, takes on her princessly tasks with duty and purpose. To prove to be the rightful heir to the throne, Leia must prove herself with three tasks- demanding her true spirit, body, and heart. However, it's hard to truly be excited about these tasks when your parents have been pushing you away and been in more secrecy than before. With time and lessons as well as new friends, this backstory of the famous Princess Leia is a great book for anyone looking for more depth about the famous female fighter in the Star Wars trilogy. I don't think you're too young to read SJM books, but all of her series cover some VERY adult content (if I wasn't clear earlier). You can certainty read whatever you like, and honestly there are far better books out there for people your age. I was much like you at your age, but now that I'm a bit older, I understand that the "I can read whatever I want" approach probably wasn't the wisest at the ripe old age of 13. And I definitely wouldn't say SJM books are PG 13, it's definitely R content. Some people don't enjoy that type of content, so I only wanted to give @dorischou a little heads up :) as for you @clearwater, I think you'd enjoy the Shadow and Bone series, or the Six of Crows Duology (they're amazing!!!)
