The New York Times Bestselling Mystery

There is trouble brewing in the Louisiana swamp -- Bowser can smell it. Bowser is a very handsome and only slightly slobbery dog, and he can smell lots of things. Like bacon. And rawhide chews! And the sweat on humans when they're lying.

Birdie Gaux, the girl Bowser lives with, also knows something is wrong. It's not just that her grammy's stuffed prize marlin has been stolen. It's the weird rumor that the marlin is linked to a missing treasure. It's the truck that seems to be following Birdie and the bad feeling on the back of her neck.

When Birdie and Bowser start digging into the mystery, not even Bowser's powerful sniffer can smell just how menacing the threat is. And when the danger comes straight for Birdie, Bowser knows it up to him to sic 'em.

This has got to be THE best perspective-of-a-dog book that I have read. SO accurate, with the smells, and Bowler's memory is perfectly authentic to a dog's, which can only focus on the present. But I fell in love with Bowler, his wonderful thoughts, his never-failing loyalty, his addiction to meat, his precise sense of smell, and all the extraordinary things about Bowler that make him Bowler. Even for cat lovers, this is a must-read! In fact, everyone should! : D

This was an amazing book about a girl and a dog. The story is told from the dog Bowser's point of view which is hilarious. Birdie loves with her grandmother because her mom works at an oil drill. When the prized marlin that Birdie's grandmother owns is stolen it is up to Birdie and Bowser to solve the case. I totally recommend this book.

I did not like this book that much. I love dogs and their funny things. But, this story is not great. Bowser is a good dog. He is excellent at smelling things. he can tell if you are lying or serious. Story is not good and I did not like the ending that much.

I did not like this book too much. It got really boring at parts and they did not describe the characters enough. When you read the first chapter you have to go back and read it again because it did not make sense. I don't reccomend this book.

Another suspense! When Blackjack, Birdie's great grandfather's prized marlin, gets stolen Birdie and Bowser have to get it back, while getting the treasured "necklace of gems".

i like dogs most of the time dogs are pretty funny. my mom is from the south and shes told us about the bugs and swamps i didnt like reading a funny story about a dog in the swamp. but other people will like it

I love this book! It reminds me of a special police dog I met at my local library names Kessle. He is very smart and trained to protect and sniff!

Woof is about a dog named bowser and his owner, birdie. Birdie's mom on an oil rig, and Birdie stays home and helps her grandmother in their family bait shop. Her father passed away and the only memories she has of him are fuzzy. On her 11th birthday, her grandmother lets her adopt a dog, which turns out to be the best thing that has happened to her. When a stuffed fish from the bait shop is stolen, bowser and birdie follow the trail to solve the mystery. I really liked this book and would recommend it to anybody

Bowser and Birdie, Louisiana Detectives! When Birdie's grandma's prize marlin is stolen, its up to Birdie and Bowser to find the thief and the treasure linked to the marlin. ages 8+

This book is written in a confusing style and the plot line is scattered. The characters are rather bland, though the narrator being a dog was brilliant. The good parts of the story are downplayed however. I would not recommend this book.
